Driftless Sourdough is a community supported bakery in Decorah, Iowa featuring locally grown Driftless grains, veggies, herbs & dairy. They also offer education through sourdough and whole-grain baking workshops and classes. Driftless Sourdough focuses on incorporating local grains and ingredients while using a long slow fermentation define the character of the bread. . Kyle and Mari have been running Kymar Acres since 1998. Located in northeast Iowa, Kymar Acres first started with vegetables, then hens, and now jams, pickled items, and baked goods. You can find their products at their Kymar Kafe or Saturday mornings at the Decorah Farmers Market. Kymar will begin baking and taking orders again for the Easter holiday. Some fan favorites include 9” deep dish fruit pies, cinnamon rolls, and breads.

Persimmon Bake Shoppe is a cottage food bakery offering pastries and bread at the Rochester Farmer’s Market. . Sharon's mastered her bread-baking technique at the French Pastry School in Chicago and the North House Folk School in Grand Marais. Her croissants are pure magic, and her cakes are mini works of art. She is a member of the Bread Bakers Guild of America and uses flour milled by Baker's Field Flour in Minneapolis, who purchases grain directly from farmers in the upper Midwest. The current wheat variety used in her bread and croissants is Linkert wheat grown by Askegaard Organic Farm. Her favorite pastry is kouign amann, which she is working on perfecting for market.
